Step 1:
Open Mac OS X email by clicking on the mail icon. This is usually found in the applications folder or on the desktop.
Step 2:
Click on mail and then preferences.
Step 3:
Click on your email account and click on edit.
Step 4:
Your existing account settings will now be displayed.
Select the use authentication when sending mail option.
Type in the SMTP user. This will be the same as your username above.
Type in the SMTP password. This will be the same as your password above.
Step 5:
Click on the account options tab.
Select the Use SSL option. Click ok. You can now send email.
