Using VOIP. How to setup VOIP on your Billion VOIP router that is using firmware v5.03 and below.
Please click here if your billion router has a software/firmware version of 5.04 or above. |
Step 1. Please make sure you have setup the ADSL side of the router before setting up the VOIP. If you need help doing this please click here.
Step 2. You will need to have setup a freedom2phone VOIP account before you can continue. You can do this by logging into your members area. If you need to do this
click here and go to Activate your freedom2phone VoIP account.
Step 3. Login to the Router: Open Internet Explorer or your default web browser and type http://192.168.1.254 on the address bar then hit enter or click go. You will be presented with a user name and password prompt. Enter user name as admin, password as admin and click OK. This will take you to the modem's Status Page.

Step 4. From the left hand side menu Click on Configuration, VOIP, then General Settings.

Under the general settings, Setting for phone Port 1 please Enter: Registrar Address (or Hostname): sip.f2s.com Registrar Port: 5060
Expire: 3600
User Domain/Realm: f2s.com Outbound Domain/Realm: sip.f2s.com
Outbound Proxy Port: 5060
Click Apply
Step 5. From The menu on the left click on Phone Port and you will see:

Click on the Edit link on the right hand side under index port one. The following page will then appear:

For: Phone Number, Username and Display Name please enter the 0845 Number you selected from the members area. Then enter the password for the account twice. Then Click Apply
Step 6. Save the Settings: Click Save Config Click Apply Click OK on the popup

Step 7. Reboot the Router. When the settings have been saved click the blue restart button Select With Current Settings and Click restart. You will then see a count down timer, soon as the timer is up the router will have been restarted and should reload the Status Page.

Final Step! Check that you are connected to the VOIP service. From the left hand side menu Click on Configuration, VOIP, and Phone Port. If your settings are correct will see registered as below. If you see failed under Registered please check your settings and restart from step 4.
